Abstract:
Since it achieved political independence, and especially since the 1990s, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has witnessed the emergence of all manner of associations. In the aftermath of a multiform crisis (political, economic, social), their role has become essential. One of the most important civil society actors is the religious component. Their vibrancy goes hand in hand with social and economic activities, which make them key players. This means that economic, social, and religious activities are sometimes interconnected.
