Abstract:
China has taken advantage of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol, benefiting from additional financial and technological flows. The institutional framework in China favors their integration into the national energy plan. The empirical study of Japanese CDM implemented in China (2005-2011) shows that the mechanism represents a distribution channel for green technologies: about one third of these projects leads to the diffusion of sustainable technologies and/or the implementation of training schemes in China.
