Abstract:
In Algeria, the young population under 25 represents an opportunity to promote sustainable development. Young people are the primary victims of unemployment, even though policies have been developed to promote job creation. The policies pursued for more than three decades have resulted in a continuous downward trend in the level of unemployment, but without creating sustainable jobs. This work aims to combine the issues of sustainable development and employment. This study allows us to observe that, in the case of Algeria, investment in the field of renewable energy and the development of foreign direct investment could be a motor for creating sustainable jobs.
