Mondes en développement, 2020, vol. n° 191, issue 3, 49-65
Abstract:
Over the last decade, Beijing?s attitude in international negotiations on global climate change has shifted dramatically. China no longer refuses to make binding international commitments and presents itself as a guarantor of the Paris Agreement, the terms of which it has in fact adopted. This article analyzes the impact of the country?s evolving focus on its energy transition and situates it within the framework of the theory of international political economy.
