Abstract: Face to growing climate change and environmental issues that have become increasingly significant over last years, this article investigates the conditions on the energy transition achieving in times of ecological transition. It first presents a survey of the literature concerning the complex (causality) relationships between energy consumption and economic growth. Then, it explores the different ways to achieve the energy transition by following a sustainable development path in the same time and in order to get success in achieving the ecological transition on a global scale.
