Abstract:
The aim of this article is to analyze the type of relationship that prevailed between the Algerian authority and the national capitalists before and during the Hirak and more specifically the degree of participation of the latter in political decisions. Here we defend the hypothesis that the incorporation of the entrepreneurial oligarchy into the ruling coalition, far from resembling a political advancement of the Algerian bourgeoisie, has increased the historical trends of sociopolitical division between ruling factions and the majority of top business leaders.
