Abstract:
François Perroux is a major economist because of his theoretical system which questions conventional equilibrium economics; because of his analyses of national economies, his proposals for a critical use of data and measures of development, and his work on development hubs and regional integration. This paper examines the meaning of development and of economy for François Perroux, the human's place in this dynamic, and the emergence of developing worlds, in the framework of a new international economic order.
