Après 60 ans de coopération internationale pour le développement, celle-ci serait-elle devenue anachronique ?

Jean-Jacques Gabas and Michel Vernières

Mondes en développement, 2022, vol. n° 199-200, issue 3, 139-158

Abstract: Development cooperation was born, in the aftermath of colonization, from different countries' desire to maintain the links forged in colonial times, by following a development model. Over the past fifty years, these cooperative relationships have, from period to period, evolved in very diverse ways and have been the subject of numerous debates in which Mondes en développement has participated. In 2022, the world seems to have changed radically and the old tools and policies of development cooperation now appear anachronistic. But faced with the scale of global challenges, the reinvention of the latter is more necessary than ever.
