Abstract:
This article aims to study ecological economics with its various trends. In this context, the focus is on ?social ecological economics?, based on a heterodox political and institutional economy with strong sustainability. The aim is also to show the contributions of ?social ecological economics? to the analysis of a contemporary environmental policy instrument, namely ?payments for environmental services? (PES) in developing countries.
