Abstract:
Men and women still do not occupy the same professions. Despite the implementation of numerous programs of gender diversity, this occupational segregation persists. Women still mostly work in the sector of care and education. The most recent data concludes that more than half of women (and men) would have to change occupation to achieve gender equality. How to incite such a ?movement of populations ?? Is it really desirable? This article deals with the outlines of this segregation, its evolution, its mechanisms, and finally, proposes, as an additional approach in favor of wage equality, to revalue jobs where women are predominant.
