Abstract:
The belief that high-school graduates are not well oriented when they enter higher education has led to the introduction of a quota system in vocational tracks, and brought back the issue of the selection at the entrance of university. Yet, these measures only contribute to reinforce social segregation in college. The apparent consistence of this conservative reformism is due to its capacity to impose in the public debate a anhistorical view of students? pathways.
