Comment réagir à un rationnement du crédit bancaire ?

Patrick Artus

Revue économique, 2002, vol. 53, issue 1, 63-82

Abstract: We build a theoretical model describing the behaviour of banks, of households, of firms, and trying to reproduce the recent evolutions in Japan, to analyse how the authorities must react when credit-rationing occurs as a consequence of the insufficient level of bank capital, and when, moreover, demand is depressed by the increase in the households? savings rate. We examine the possibility to inject liquidities in the accounts of banks, to increase public spending, to recapitalize banks through budget deficits or through money creation.
