Abstract:
This paper investigates the psychosocial determinants of annual duration of presenteeism at work in France.?We use data of the French ?Working Conditions? survey (2013) to measure exposure to psychosocial risks (PSRs) at work with six indexes : 1) Job demands index ; 2) Emotional requirements index ; 3) Decision latitude index ; 4) Social relations index ; 5) Value conflicts index ; and 6) Socioeconomic insecurity index.?Results from a zero-inflated negative binomial model show that presenteeism is affected by psychosocial environment at work.?All dimensions of PSRs exposure appear to be determinants of annual duration of presenteeism.?The PSRs dimensions that have the greatest effect on conditional expectation of presenteeism at work are exposures to jobs demands, lack of decision latitude, and poor social relations at work.
