Postures et pratiques des économistes: convergence ou divorce ?

Gaël Plumecocq ()

Revue économique, 2021, vol. 72, issue 2, 333-369

Abstract: The recent disputes that have taken place within the French economic community have progressively divided economics. The purpose of this article is to objectify the different universes of epistemological beliefs. It is based on a questionnaire sent to the members of two academic associations. The statistical classification used made it possible to qualify the disciplinary approaches of four groups of economists. These results allow discussing the characteristics of the different groups (theory-empirical articulation). We then identified how the disciplinary landscape is being reshaped: standard economics appears relatively heterogenic; and the different groups of economists have differentiated relationships.
