Abstract:
The Russian offensive launched in Ukraine has negatively impacted the European automotive sector already disorganized before 2022 by the pandemic Covid-19 health crisis and semi-conductors supply penuries. The forced interruption of automotive production in Russia and its car market lockdown have triggered the reorganization of automotive value chains. The automotive industry is seeking to adjust its Toyotistic productive model, known as ?just on time? organization, by reconstituting stocks, vertically integrating some strategic partners, and rethinking localization strategies. Geopolitical tensions and energetic transition are also affecting the future of the industry?s production organization. Classification JEL : F23, L23, L62.
