Innovation disruptive et naissance d'un écosystème: voyage aux origines de l'internet

Revue d'économie industrielle, 2014, vol. n° 146, issue 2, 27-59
Abstract:
?Building on a historical case study, this article investigates the conditions for the information and communication technology (ICT) business ecosystem to emerge (Moore, 2006). The case focuses on the development of the first computerised communication network by the U.S. Advanced Research Project Agency: ARPANET. It is contended that the ICT ecosystem emerged from a disruptive innovation project led by a community of research-oriented organisations, commercial firms being relegated at the periphery.?
