Abstract:
As the study of entrepreneurship and economic value creation has been consequently documented, the intersection between entrepreneurship and other forms or registers of value has received less attention. In this paper, we review the critical entrepreneurship studies, considering that to focus on economic value creation could lead implicitly to prioritize entrepreneurial experiences among each other. Then, we show that the recent call to consider the influence of multiple registers of value could enlarge our view of entrepreneurial processes without leading to necessarily prioritize the entrepreneurial experiments studied. We conclude that considering larger ties between values and entrepreneurship is necessary to explore the entrepreneurship diversity and we offer suggestions for future research.
