Abstract:
Social and solidarity economy is an interesting observatory of the diversity of entrepreneurs given its entrepreneurial turning point. First we present the increasing diversity of words linked with ESS and discuss criteria for a typology of entrepreneurs in the field of ESS. Second, rely on recent qualitative inquiries in France, we identify three business models and discuss the place of entrepreneurs in each one. We point out that part of resistance in the use of the term entrepreneur is based on the collective dimension of entrepreneurship and ambition of social transformation more than scaling up.
