Abstract:
This article examines the role of the business incubator as an activator of creative entrepreneurship. This leads us to mobilize two theoretical frameworks: the business incubator as a specific form of entrepreneurial support on the one hand, and the proximity theory on the other hand. Using the results of twenty-one interviews conducted with creative young entrepreneurs, we have been able to describe the process of developing creative entrepreneurship as an evolutionary trajectory facilitated by a number of ?ingredients.? We note in particular: the characteristic of the business incubator, namely creative; a structure allowing physical and relational proximity; the freedom of the young entrepreneurs to form modular teams according to projects; co-learning through inter-skills dialogue; and the emergence of an ?intrapreneurial management.?
