Abstract:
Through the Taiwanese experience of the Hsinchu Science Based Industrial Park, this article aims at answering to the question : can a growth pole can become an industrial district ? Created by the government, technopoles are not supposed to become socio-economic territories regulated by values shared in common. However, in a traditional and holistic society like Chinese society, several features of the technopole organization let us think that a transition towards an industrial district is possible.
