Abstract:
Knowledge diffusion is considered as one of the main resources for innovation. How to manage this particular resource? Is it possible to manage it like many others? Two types of approaches are available in literature sources. They first seem antinomic. On the one hand, the purpose is to facilitate knowledge creation and diffusion. On the other hand, solutions aiming at controlling knowledge are developed. We suggest transcending this classical opposition between creativity and control by analysing the tools used to manage knowledge within a multinational firm.
