Abstract: The development of safety culture is often presented as an important improvement factor in occupational risks for health and safety. This paper article proposes a practical approach towards safety culture based on the analysis of the managerial project this notion implies. It is illustrated by the results of an intervention-research undertaken by the Health-Safety-Environment Direction of the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis.
