Abstract:
The aim of this article is to demonstrate how disruptive actions taken by firms can be understood by focusing on rules. This article deals with a case study from the video game industry and more particularly from the development of the Nitendo?s Wii project. The analysis includes an evaluation of the type of disruption initiated, lessons from the project genesis as well as from its acceptation in the video game sector. The leading position of the company as well as its ownership of key resources seems to have played an essential role in the project unfolding.
