L'innovation des entreprises artisanales. Les effets de proximités

Jean-Claude Boldrini, Hélène Journé-Michel and Emmanuel Chené

Revue française de gestion, 2011, vol. n° 213, issue 4, 25-41

Abstract: Contrarily to that what common representations hint at, a lot of craftsmen innovate but they do it by relying on networks of proximity. Within the framework of the Artisanat-Université network, we have tried to understand what are the prerequisites for innovation and how proximity kept up by craftsmen enables them to go beyond routines in order to explore higher potential activities.
