Abstract:
Responsibility differs in the epistemology of hard sciences and in that of business administration. Finance seems to belong to both domains and some of its professionals - the ?quants? - come from the best engineering schools. Based upon an analysis of the courses contents of these schools, the article questions the type of responsibility that is presented to students and consequently that of business academics.
