Abstract:
Career mobility, tool of organizational dynamic, is not a trivial and commonplace phenomenon. Increasingly recurrent during a career, it remains for workers, an individual « adventure ». However, very few management studies offer the keys to decipher and understand, at the individual level, things happening during internal mobility. This paper pursues this issue with an original analysis focused on spatial notions, based on the stories of twenty-five employees. This study conducts us to propose a spatial definition of the mobility experience. It also offers new opportunities to organize the mobility within companies.
