Abstract:
In France, where current renewed interest in water public management is raising, the issue of values of public service is at the forefront of the scene. Based on the results of a survey derived from a research-action, we demonstrate that the use of the concept of public values offers innovative and creative solutions that restore the proper meaning of action and of the raison d?être of public entities. This calls into question the technical and economical dominant criteria that legitimate the performance of large technical system.
