Abstract:
Is CSR the brand-new concept corporate elites draw on in order to influence political decision-making? The comparative analysis of two fieldworks, respectively in the mining and automotive industries, allows us to shed light on the intertwinement of business and political stakes in the design and implementation of CSR policies. Accordingly, our contribution highlights the mechanisms of articulation transforming the private interests of some business and political actors into an universalistic rationalism imbued with general interest, capable of influencing public authorities? agenda.
