Abstract:
This article provides a historical overview of management research in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We analyze the historical development of the concept of CSR in North-America, and discuss the managerial concepts and frameworks developed to study this construct. Finally, the article provides a typology of the various CSR research streams in management.
