Abstract:
Summary: This article focuses on inter-organizational relationships of multinational companies. The authors attempt to identify asymmetric relationships that can be developed in borderless production systems. The empirical study was conducted at the Renault Trucks company (Volvo group) and its international partners. The proposed analysis highlights the challenges linked to vertical interorganizational relationships. It shows how these relationships can be managed and coordinated within the global factory.
