Abstract:
Using a cross-case study approach on Mondragon Corporation, we want to understand the dissonances between cooperatives management in the Basque Country and in Latin America. The Robert Simons theoretical framework on strategic orientation and top management attention to control subsidiaries are one of our concerns. We analyze international coordination integrating knowledge about and current habits in the business model of cooperatives? subsidiaries in Latin America. Our results show that an interactive control is the most common system.
