Abstract: The first issue of the Revue française de gestion was printed in May 1975. At that time it was the only academic review in the field of management and business administration in France. During 40 years, the RFG allowed researchers and practitioners to demonstrate the progress made in the field of managerial finance. The aim of this article is to show the richness of the RFG contribution in the field of business finance and its link with real issues coming from the business life. The reader will be quite surprised to see how the RFG was able to answer real financial issues and replace those issues within the scientific debate in finance and corporate governance.
