L’organisation État islamique, est-elle une structure mafieuse ?

Éric Martel

Revue française de gestion, 2016, vol. N° 260, issue 7, 159-168

Abstract: If we look closely at the functioning logics of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, we will see a number of common points with mafia organizations as the Italian, Russian and Chinese mafias. It is possible that a similar set of constraints tends to lead to the same type of organizations. This article aims to understand the appearance, function and evolution of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant through a comparison with mafias, structures whose appearance dates back to the 19th century.
