Abstract:
Following on the strong growth and professionalization of the nonprofit sector, nonprofit organizations play a major economic role. This study aims at identifying the specificities of these organizations that lead to their significant organizational and management changes. A combination of three elements emerged as a trigger factor: an organizational culture integrating innovation, the diversity of the members leading to a cross-fertilization of knowledge, and the funders? pressure which requires a proper management of its paradoxical effects.
