Abstract:
The research provides an international comparative analysis of the quality of corporate governance. It seeks to show whether belonging to a particular governance model influences corporate governance scores. The study is based on a sample of 434 publicly traded companies whose scores were raised over the period 2010-2014. The results highlight the superiority of Anglo-Saxon companies in corporate governance, not only over companies in continental Europe but also over Asian companies.
