Abstract:
This research raises ethical questions that put a pediatric palliative care team in difficulty. The article links ethics to sensemaking in order to understand how the retrospective narrative of a particular situation leads a team to justify and define its role in future deliberations. It characterizes the ethical narrative in organizational context. Secondarily, it enriches the perspective of sensemaking. On the managerial level, the article highlights the interest of promoting ethical storytelling for both patients and caregivers.
