Abstract:
The article highlights the modernity and timeliness of the sociologist Emile Durkheim?s (1858-1917) thinking in his analysis of family and family ties. An application of his approach to the family business enriches the understanding of the mitigation of family ties over time, on the one hand, and the importance of the conjugal cell, on the other hand.
