Abstract:
This research examines the digital communication environment of hospitals and the structure of their network on Twitter. The study proposes an innovative methodological approach based on social media analytics and social network analysis to better understand a hospital?s interactions with its social network on the Internet. Using data from the Twitter account of the Geneva University Hospitals, the study reveals the implemented strategy. Our results introduce new performance indicators based on social media metrics that can be used for managerial action.
