Valeur intrinsèque et valeur temps de la recherche en sciences de gestion

Joanne Hamet and Frantz Maurer

Revue française de gestion, 2019, vol. N° 284, issue 7, 103-123

Abstract: The authors measure the spreading of one of the most widely used financial models, the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), among the financial community. Using the Bass (1969) diffusion model, we show that it took almost thirty years to the CAPM to reach its apogee in the managerial press, while it spread more quickly in the academic field. This result suggests that time is an important factor for research in management to be valued outside the academic world.
