Abstract:
Contemporary work can be experienced as a succession of individual trials that are, however, related to broader and shared challenges. I suggest using Martuccelli?s concept of trial (2006; 2010) in order to better comprehend how radical and global changes are felt and lived locally, in everyone?s jobs, as well as how to face these trials individually and collectively. Following up on this concept introduction and possible uses, I offer several paths for research, notably in order to study how we could build more organized answers to the individual trials of contemporary work.
