Abstract:
Since Open Strategy (OS) research is in its infancy, this research analyzes the dilemmas arising from increasing inclusion and transparency in strategic thinking. For nearly a year, the researchers follow the actors of a Mid Cap Company in all stages of the development of their strategic plan in open mode. This privileged observer position makes it possible to identify the main risks and difficulties that punctuate an OS approach. For managers, concrete solutions are developed to anticipate and avoid these obstacles, by mobilizing methodological devices already tested in the Mid Cap Company studied.
