Abstract:
Favoured by the digital transformation, multi-sided business models are based on new operating logics that are still little studied in the literature. In this article, the authors aim to understand these operating logics by focusing on the dynamics of the interactions between their components and the stakeholders that surround them. The empirical research is based on a qualitative approach using seven case studies. The triangulation of the data allowed an analysis in two complementary levels of coding (cf. Gioia et al., 2013). The cross-referencing of the results with the literature highlights the specificities of multi-sided BMs in terms of components and interactions with different stakeholders.
