Abstract: The aim of this article is to contribute to the evolution of the individual and collective evaluation system in management science by according more importance to books in this evaluation system. After analyzing the mechanisms and characteristics of this system, we make several propositions to increase the importance of the book in individual and collective evaluation of scholars in management science.
