Abstract:
This article analyses a public instrument designed for the professional integration of young theatre performers in Belgium?s French Community: the ?casting-training internship? (stage audition-formation). Drawing on the theoretical framework of the economy of conventions and on some empirical data from inquiries conducted in France, the authors study the innovative dimension of this instrument which allows for a variety of competences evaluation conventions. They also identify two major constraints affecting the conditions of a balanced skills assessment.
