La guerre économique, forme moderne de la guerre ?

Éric Bosserelle

Revue française de socio-Economie, 2011, vol. n° 8, issue 2, 167-186

Abstract: Supported for several years already by many authors, the thesis according to which economic war imposes itself today as the modern form of warfare is a thesis which is at least debatable. In opposition to this thesis, it seems to us, on the contrary, that the end of the Cold War and the way taken up by globalization have brought to the very forefront the problems of security and the question of military conflicts. This article consequently looks at questions about the transformation and future of wars, and about the eventual continuation of the American leadership which happens to be involved to the highest degree in questions concerning world governance.
