Abstract:
This paper consists in a comparison between, on the one hand, economical analysis of film inspired by neoclassical economics published in the Journal of Cultural Economics and, on the other hand, sociological researches inspired by the model of fields of cultural production developed by Pierre Bourdieu. The article explains the differences between the two approaches, both in the analysis of film making the analysis of film-viewing practices.
