Abstract:
Pierre Bourdieu has developed a reflection on the link between capitalism and precapitalism, which analyzes the economic field and the economic habitus as the result of a historical process. This article proposes to examine this evolution, through the study of Dauphiné business community, during the eighteenth century. We study the relationship between merchants and monarchical regulations, in order to understand the appearance of new social structures that promote the autonomisation of economic activities.
