Abstract:
Access to land is essential to develop an agricultural activity. Thanks to a field work conducted in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the paper analyses three trading forms for access to land, based on family, socioprofessionnal networks or impersonal patterns. It shows that the two first ones are dominant, which restrains access to farming activities for outsiders coming from other social origins and willing to develop sustainable agriculture.
