Revue française de socio-Economie, 2017, vol. n° 18, issue 1, 143-163
Abstract:
The Canadian housing market has experienced strong growth since the end of the 1990s. Drawing on various theories in political economy, this article highlights the social conditions and the historical tranformations behind such growth. It shows that the latest real estate cycle is both a result and a condition of the ongoing global process of capital?s financialization.
