Abstract:
The arrival of subscription streaming platforms in France was presented as a promising opportunity: that of supporting local showrunners, i.e., author-producers, with ambitious aesthetic projects that would benefit from international distribution. This article intends to investigate whether this promise has been kept, starting with the making of ?Netflix original series.? This leads us to highlight an organizational density that shakes up the established production methods and questions the very conditions of productive efficiency.
